Hmong’s new year celebrated in Vientiane province

(KPL) The traditional Hmong new year was celebrated on 30 December at Ban Phonkham, Phonghong district, Vientiane province.
Among the senior officials attending the celebration were Mr. Thong Yethor, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Lao Front for National Construction, leaders and high raking officials in the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phouthong Senesoulin, Chief of Phonghong district has highlighted the traditional and custom of Hmong people. He also read the greeting letter from Mr. Sisavath Keobounphan, President of the Lao Front for National Construction.
Mr. Thong Yethor, in his statement on the occasion, praised the consolidation of the integrity, their participation in the defence of the new regime and the national construction according to the guideline and policy of the party and state, that has contributed to the security and social order. He also wished the H’mong people greater success.
The audience was presented with an art performance by the village art troupe.
