Yemen calls for supporting domestic campaign for Al-Quds

SANA'A, Jan. 07 (Saba)-A committee of al-Quds and Palestine at the
Yemeni Parliament called on Wednesday for support domestic campaign
of Al-Quds Arab Culture for 2009.

The deputy chairman of the committee Mohammed al-Wajih affirmed
support of the committee for the campaign during his meeting with
executive director of the campaign Osama al-Ashqar who is currently
visiting Yemen.

Al-Wajih pointed out to the popular and official support for the
Palestinian resistance in Gaza against the Zionist offensive, saying
that such support would continue until the Palestinian people could
get all their rights and setting up their independent state and
al-Quds as its capital.

He called on all Palestinian factions to enhance unity of the
Palestinian people to face Zionist entity and strengthening culture
of the resistance among Palestinian generations.

For his part, al-Ashqar expressed appreciation for the popular and
official positions of the Yemen to support the Palestinian issue,
valuing the Yemeni assistance to the Palestinian people.

He also briefed al-Wajih on current preparations for the domestic
campaign for celebrations of al-Quds Arab Culture Capital for 2009.
