AMCHAM To Work Clsoely With Members, Stakeholders To Support TPPA

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- The American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Malaysia) will work closely with its members and various stakeholders to support the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) so that a more robust environment can be created. AMCHAM Malaysia applauded the signing of the TPPA in Auckland, New Zealand Thursday, which is projected to boost economic growth through increased trade and investment activities among 12 participating countries. In a statement Thursday, its Executive Director, Siobhan Das, said that the US and Malaysian businesses could flourish with the opportunities provided by the agreement. Its President, Sanjeev Nanavati, said the TPPA signing marked a significant milestone for all 12 signatory countries, who had demonstrated leadership in free trade promotion, market access and setting high standards to address 21st century trade challenges. -- BERNAMA
