Cambodian NA President Heng Samrin arrives Vientiane

(KPL) The President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Hang Samrin arrived here on 9 January on official visit to Lao PDR at the invitation of his Lao PDR counterpart Thongsing Thammavong.
An official ceremony to welcome Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Hang Samrin with his delegation took place at the National Assembly on 10 January in the presence of Mr. Thongsing Thammavong and high ranking officials from Laos and Cambodia.
A bilateral meeting between the high-level National Assembly delegation of the Lao PDR and of the Kingdom of Cambodia was also held on 10 January afternoon. The two National Assembly delegations were headed by the respective Presidents, Thongsing Thammavong, and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Hang Samrin. The talks proceeded in a most friendly and cordial atmosphere. The heads of the two delegations informed each other of developments in their countries, especially the activities of their respective legislative bodies in the past as well as at present.
Both Thongsing Thammavong and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Hang Samrin attached importance to the visit as contributing significantly to strengthening the traditional good relations of friendship, solidarity and co-operation between the two states and people, Laos and Cambodia, especially their relations and co-operation in the legislative areas.
On this occasion, Mr. Thongsing Thammavong and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Hang Samrin has jointly signed the MoU to further the co-operation between their organization.
