4 Companies To Participate In 9th India Wood 2016

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Timber Council will provide an opportunity for four Malaysian timber companies to join over 650 exhibitors from all over the world to exhibit their designs and products at the coming ninth edition of India Wood 2016. In a statement Wednesday, Chief Executive Officer, Dr Abdul Rahim Nik, said the initiative was in line with the council's efforts to promote local furniture globally and to bolster the presence of Malaysian furniture in India and other international markets. "IndiaWood is considered a driving force behind innovation and success in the global scenario for furniture production technologies and the woodworking sector. "With hundreds of companies from all over the world participating in the coming fair, India Wood 2016 will offer an excellent platform for Malaysian companies to introduce and showcase their designs and products to a whole new market and capitalise on unlimited opportunities for networking and establishing new business connection," he said. India has been among the top three major export markets for Malaysia's timber products since 2008, accounting for over US$359.74 million (RM1.5 billion) in annual exports for the last three consecutive years. The four selected Malaysian companies who will exhibit their products are Sri Ledang Sdn Bhd, Desa KL Enterprise Sdn Bhd, Stanford-Dor Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd and Besgrade Products Sdn Bhd. The event is scheduled to be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre from Feb 25-29, 2016. -- BERNAMA
