Huawei Sees Steady Growth In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Bernama) -- Huawei Technologies expects a steady growth of its smartphones, tablets and smart watches in Malaysia. Huawei Consumer Business Group's Product Marketing Director (Handset) South Pacific Region, Luke Au, said globally, Huawei was growing and Malaysia was in line. "We have started selling premium products and services here," he said at the launch of the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone here Tuesday. Au said China-based Huawei was now the world's third largest smartphone maker with 9.9 per cent market share. "Our smartphone shipments globally have increased to 44 per cent last year with the Huawei Mate 8 registering sales of two million units in 50 days after its introduction in China.
