PM to visit Udon Thani on Friday

BANGKOK, March 17 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha will hold a meeting with members of the Joint Public and Private Sector Consultative Committee for provinces in the upper Northeast during his scheduled visit to Udon Thani on Friday, said an assistant to the spokesman of the Prime Minister’s Office. Besides conferring with the Committee, Gen Prayut is scheduled to inspect advancement of his government-sponsored projects aimed at improving standard of living of people and solving poverty problem, government’s measures to solve prevailing drought problem, and water management, said the assistant to the spokesman. Gen Prayut will on Friday morning travel to Phen district to meet with people and listen to their demands, he said. In the afternoon, the prime minister is scheduled to followup the government’s programmes to improve the livelihood of small income earners and small-sized investment projects, he said. Gen Prayut is scheduled to return to Bangkok in the evening. (TNA)
