Gold medal awarded to Cambodian NA President
(KPL) A gold medal, the highest medal of the Lao PDR, was awarded on 10 January to Mr. Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia in recognition of his contribution to strengthen the traditional friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Cambodia.
President Choummaly Sayasone, representing the party and government of Laos, presented the award to Mr. Heng Samrin. Mr. Heng samrin led the high ranking delegation of Cambodia to pay a goodwill visit to Laos from 9-11 January.
On this occasion, President Choummaly praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of Mr. Heng Samrin as a big contribution to further enhancement the traditional friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Cambodia. He also expressed congratulations for the achievements gained by Cambodian people in the cause of national defense and construction.
President Choummaly also expressed congratulations to the Cambodian People’s Party for its victory in the general election in Cambodia, especially the appointment of Mr. Heng Samrin as the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia.
