President Choummaly Sayasone meets Russian guest
(KPL) Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, President of the Lao PDR received at his office in Vientiane yesterday afternoon a courtesy visit of Federation Council Chairman of the Russia Federation Federal Assembly Mr. Sergey Mironov.
The Russian delegation arrived here on 10 January for three day working visit to Laos as a guest of the National Assembly.
At the meeting, President Choummaly Sayasone and Russian guest highly valued the development of the traditional relations of friendship between Laos and Russia. The Lao President also praised the visit to Laos of Russian delegation as a big contribution to strengthen the traditional friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Russia.
Mr. Sergey Mironov expressed pleasure and satisfaction with a warm hospitality given to him by President Choummaly and praised the friendly relations and mutual assistance between the two states and people. He also informed President Choummaly about his activities in Laos, especially the results of the working session between his delegation and Lao counterpart.
Mr. Sergey Mironov and his entourage on the morning of 12 January also paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh.
