New YEN-D programme to start in May

BANGKOK, April 9 (TNA) -- After a success of the first edition of "YEN-D" (Young Entrepreneur Network Development) programme, the Commerce Ministry is preparing to organise the season 2 programme mid this year, said Adul Chote-nisakorn, deputy director-general of Ministry’s Foreign Trade Department. Mr Adul said the new training programme will start this May 8 until July 15 and training for each group will last one week. New business operators can choose a training course with their colleagues from countries which they believe could help expand their businesses. The new training programme will focus on building business networks and business matching and networking. He said the first YEN-D programme launched between last September – November achieved large success as it gave an opportunity to new Thai business players to build networks with business operators from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar. Visits by new Thai business operators to their partners in those neighbouring countries could generate more than 1.5 billion baht in the early stage, he said, adding it was the reason why the YEN-D season 2 has to be organised.
