Iran urges US to use proper methods of implementing nuke deal

Baku, Azerbaijan, Apr. 20 By Khalid Kazimov - Trend: Iran will benefit from the nuclear deal clinched with world powers last year, if the US employs proper method in implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA/nuclear deal), said Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. "The US can fulfill its commitments regarding the implementation of JCPOA in a way that would make the Islamic Republic capable of benefiting from the deal," Mehr news agency quoted Zarif as saying. Zarif made the remarks following a meeting behind the closed doors with his American counterpart John Kerry in New York on April 19. If the US takes proper measures regarding the implementation of the JCPOA, the existing obstacles will be eliminated, the foreign minister said. There are opportunities for all sides, including Iran, to benefit from all advantages of the implementation of the JCPOA, Zarif added. Zarif said him and Kerry are to meet again on the sidelines of the ongoing UN Climate Summit on April 22 for further discussion.
