Qatar Chamber, QBIC Sign MoU

Doha, May 09 (QNA) - The Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) aimed at coordinating training programs, exchange of information, expertise and advisory services and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the State of Qatar. The MoU was signed on behalf of Qatar Chamber by Saleh Hamad Al Sharqi Qatar Chamber General Manager and on behalf of QBIC by its CEO Aysha Al Mudahka. Under the MoU, the cooperation will include joint participation in various events organized by both sides in Qatar or abroad and the inclusion of QBIC entrepreneurs in Qatar Chamber database. Commenting on the event, Qatar Chamber General Manager, Saleh Hamad Al Sharqi, said Qatar Chamber is responsible for organizing interests of the Qatari private sector as well as defending and representing it. Today's signing with QBIC comes to support entrepreneurs and the private sector in general in line with the policies of economic and trade diversification of the national economy according to the Qatar National Vision 2030, he said. QBIC has a great role in promoting entrepreneurship and SMEs in the State of Qatar, Al Sharqi explained, adding that bilateral cooperation and coordination would have a significant impact on the achievement of economic goals for both sides in order to serve the Qatari private sector.
