QCB Governor, Chinese Officials Review Financial Cooperation

Beijing, May 17 (QNA) - HE Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al-Thani reviewed with Chinese officials means of promoting mutual cooperation in the financial and banking sector, means of activating the memoranda of understanding signed between QCB and Chinese financial and regulatory institutions, and issues of common concern. The discussions took place during HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al-Thani's visit to China at the invitation of the governor of the People's Bank of China. HE the governor and the accompanying delegation met Zhou Xiaochuan, governor of the People's Bank of China; Jiang Jianqing, chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China; and Shang Fulin, chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission. HE Qatar's Ambassador to China Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri attended HE the governor's meetings with the Chinese officials. (QNA)
