SEA Games road upgrading completes by 25 per cent
(KPL) The upgrading of the SEA Games road connecting Done Noune and the SEA Games stadium has achieved 25 per cent of the work.
The 4.5-km stretch of the road is being upgraded for a wider surface of 22-29.5-m.
The project costing 3.75 million US dollars started in last October. It is financed by the Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF) of the Republic of Korea in loan and the Lao government (750,000 million US dollars.
The contractor said this week the improvement would be complete three months before the opening of the 25th SEA Games.
Up to date most of the works focus on land clearance, the relocation of households and state properties from the construction area.
