Bahrain to host MENA Industrial Summit2016

Manama, Aug. 10 (BNA): Organisers have confirmed the 20th of September 2016 the date to hold an industrial forum that will highlight the importance of the industrial sector as an inevitable development sector and a cornerstone to diversify the economies of the MENA region. The forum is the first in a series of an initiative called "MENA Industrial Summit" planned by Bahrain Businesses, in collaboration with its Strategic Partner, MENA Centre for Investment. The forum is expected to draw an important attendance and interest from Bahrain and the region. It will be a prominent regional economic event in 2016, bringing to the discussion the role of the industrial sector as one of the most important players in luring investments, the opportunities it is offering, as well as the challenges the sector is facing. High-caliber speakers have confirmed their attendance and participation from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The industrial sector is a key player in the economies of the developing countries, directly contributing to their economic growth, supporting their balance of payment and increasing income of governments. Most importantly, the sector creates jobs with rewarding income, and mobilises other vital sectors towards an increased national economic growth. One main objective behind the MENA Industrial Summit is to attract foreign investments to the industrial sector, which can result in a higher added value to the industrial production, and ultimately raising the value of exports from the Middle East and North Africa region. The Summit carries the theme "Towards a Sustainable Industrial Sector in the MENA region". Source: MENA Industrial Summit2016 website: (http://www.menasummit.org/news)
