IRIS Corp To Supply 2.5 Million Nigerian ePassports

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- IRIS Corporation Bhd, a global solutions provider with core expertise in digital identity, business, farming and environmental solutions will be supplying 2.5 million Nigerian electronic passports (ePassports) under a US$42.49 million contract with Nigeria-based firm IRIS Smart Technologies Ltd. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia (Malaysia's Stock Exchange) on Thursday, IRIS Corp said the contract is for three years from the date it was signed. "IRIS Corp shall, from time to time, supply and deliver such quantities of the e-Passport in accordance with the letters of credit issued by IRIS Smart as specified in the agreement," the inventor of the world's first ePassport and multi-application smart card said. --BERNAMA
