MyHSR To Appoint RDC For Kuala Lumpur–Singapore HSR Project

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd is to appoint Reference Design Consultants (RDCs) for the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project. It said the appointed RDCs are expected to provide consultancy services in areas of reference design for rail infrastructure components in Malaysia, interface management, stakeholder management, HSR project requirements and tender document preparation. "The appointed RDCs are responsible for the preliminary design of infrastructure asset (stations, alignment, depot and maintenance bases) within Malaysia," it said in a statement Wednesday. MyHSR added that there would be five RDC work packages, and local as well as international firms are encouraged to participate. The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR project was first announced by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders' Retreat in February 2013.
