Silk Road Economic Forum To Help Promote Malaysia-China Ties

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- The promotion of bilateral ties and networking among entrepreneurs will underpin the three-day Malaysia-China Silk Road Economic Forum 2016 from Sept 3. The event, at the Sunway Resort Hotel in Petaling Jaya, is being organised by the Malaysia China International Trade Link Association (MACITA) and will be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. In a statement Monday, MACITA said the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Huang Huikang, is also expected to attend. The forum which will include a business-matching and networking session, is expected to see the participation of 150 business representatives from China's trade and industry associations. Meanwhile, MACITA said an International Entrepreneurs Excellent Award ceremony would be held during the Gala Dinner on Sept 3 to honour the best industry players in different sectors as food and beverages, services and construction. "The Chinese delegation will be visiting property galleries, universities and theme parks around the Klang Valley area as part of the three-day event. "They will also be visiting the Sunway Iskandar development in Johor," it added. -- BERNAMA
