Malaysia's First Fairfield By Marriot Hotel To Open In Bintulu

MIRI (Sarawak, Malaysia), Aug 30 (Bernama) -- Fairfield by Marriot will open its first hotel in the country known as Fairfield by Marriott Bintulu Paragon Hotel next year. Naim Group of Companies in a statement said its subsidiary, Naim Hotel Sdn Bhd, had inked a management agreement Tuesday with Marriot International in Bintulu, which is the first international hotel in Bintulu, a town well known for its oil and gas production. "Fairfield by Marriott Bintulu Paragon hotel will feature a total of 238 rooms and construction works for the hotel are currently ongoing. The hotel is expected to commence operations by mid-2017," it said. Fairfield by Marriott operates in the mid-tier hotel segment and it is Marriott International's second-largest distributed brand with more than 750 hotels worldwide. Country Representative, Asia Pacific Marriott International, Andrea Susilo signed on behalf Marriott while Naim Group was represented by Naim Holdings Bhd's Deputy Managing Director, Christina Wong. -- BERNAMA
