Malaysia To Host Australian Business Asia Regional Conference

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia will play host to the Australian Business Asia (ABA) regional conference this November. The event, from Nov 9-11, is being billed as the largest convergence of Australian businesses in Asia. ABA and Malaysia Australia Business Council Chairman Leigh Howard said the event comes at an interesting time, as Australian companies look to expand to the region. "This is alongside many Malaysian companies seeking to expand into the Australian market. "ABA which comprises 17 Australian Chambers of Commerce and Australian Business Councils across Asia will come together this November to increase linkages in the region. "Malaysia, which has continued to improve in the ease of doing business rankings, has been chosen as it can be a regional launching pad for Australian companies taking their first steps into the region," he said in a statement on Wednesday. The conference, "Trading Up", is themed, "Accessing Opportunities for Australian Business in Asia". It will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here. It will bring together a target audience of over 500 delegates to Malaysia to explore the opportunities that growing demand in Asia has created. --BERNAMA
