Asia Aviation Appoints Simon Perkins As New Deputy CEO, CFO

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- AirAsia Bhd's aircraft leasing unit Asia Aviation Capital Ltd (AACL) has appointed Simon Perkins as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, effective Oct 1. Perkins, a British national, has a strong background in accounting, risk management and banking operations with 20 years' experience in both the commercial and banking/leasing industries in Asia and Europe. "His success in building an aircraft financing business in Asia from scratch shows he is the right man for the job as we develop business opportunities in the region and beyond," said Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes in a statement here.
