Azerbaijani FM meets Turkmen counterpart in New York

Baku, September 22, AZERTAC Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York. They discussed the current state of and prospects for the cooperation between the two countries, noting there are good opportunities for expanding the cooperation in energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The ministers noted that the Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Turkey trilateral cooperation format contributes to the further development of the ties, as well as discussed the agenda of the upcoming meetings of energy and foreign ministers in the trilateral format in this regard.
