Premier receives President of Association for the Furtherance of Peace

Manama, Sep. 27 (BNA): Manama, Sep. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today President of the international Austrian Association for the Furtherance of Peace Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete and her husband Vice President Archduke Sandor von Habsburg.
Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete presented HRH the Premier with an invitation to attend the imperial celebration on October 21 at the historic Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna.
The celebration, which will be held at the former summer residence of Austria's Emperor, is the first of its kind in more than 100 years and will be attended by 200 people. Part of the event, the annual reception ceremony of the Flame of Peace will also be held at the palace's gardens on October 22.
HRH the Prime Minister hailed the visit of Archduchess Herta Margarete and Archduke Sandor von Habsburg to Bahrain, expressing thanks for the invitation which reflects deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries. He underlined the importance of boosting cooperation between countries so as to promote international security and stability, pointing out the need for the international community to direct resources to achieving peace and bolstering people's welfare. He also commended the pioneering role of the Austrian Association for the Furtherance of Peace in fostering global peace and cooperation between peoples, wishing it more success in achieving its noble goals.
Archduchess Herta Margarete and her husband Archduke Sandor von Habsburg thanked HRH the Premier for his efforts to boost global peace and understanding between peoples, stressing that his vision has been able to present a pioneering model to improve human conditions everywhere.
Archduchess Herta Margarete praised HRH the Premier's initiatives in sustainable development, describing them as a motive for many to exert more efforts to develop their homelands. She paid tribute to HRH the Prime Minister, describing him as a great value and a respected international personality given his achievements and pioneering role in backing international humanitarian work. She also voiced keenness on HRH the Prime Minister's attendance of the celebration, lauding Bahrain's development in all fields and wishing it more progress and prosperity.
