Malindo To Commence Flights To Chiang Mai On Oct 30

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 (Bernama) -- Malindo Air Tuesday announced that bookings are now open for its Kuala Lumpur-Chiang Mai-Kuala Lumpur services, which will commence operations on Oct 30, 2016. In a statement Tuesday, the airline's Chief Executive Officer, Chandran Rama Muthy, said the seven-time weekly service to Chiang Mai, the major gateway to northern Thailand, marked the airline's second destination in Thailand after Bangkok. "With the introduction of this new route, we are continuing with our network expansion and further strengthening our reasonably vast network in Asia," he said. Promotional fares from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Chiang Mai for the new route start from US$48 (RM199) for Economy Class and US$72 (RM299) for Business Class one-way all-inclusive. The narrow-body Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, with a seat capacity of 162, with 12 business class and 150 economy class seats, will be deployed on the 1,762-kilometre route. -- BERNAMA
