HM the King congratulated on prestigious awards

Manama, Sep. 28 (BNA): Chairman of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, has extended utmost congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on being granted the US "Lifetime Achievement" Award in recognition of his continued achievements and incessant efforts in all fields, notably in development, respect for religious pluralism in the Kingdom of Bahrain and his interest in bolstering Bahrain-US ties at all levels, making of them an exemplary model of relations among nations, based on strong and clear foundations. Al-Saleh also extended congratulations to HM the King on the "Samuel Zwemer" Award conferred on him by the Reformed Church in the United States in recognition of his prominent support of the American Mission Hospital and health services in general in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as His Majesty’s keenness to promote freedom of religion. The Shura Council Chairman asserted that HM the King's achievements have become clear to everyone, and enjoy the respect of the International Community, citing HM King Hamad's wisdom, statesmanship and openness policy that respects the freedom of religion and fosters the values of co-existence, tolerance and peace. He added that HM the King's tireless efforts to upgrade Bahraini citizens and improve their conditions through achieving comprehensive economic development and providing high-quality social services for all the citizens have also been widely acclaimed. The prestigious hounouring is an assertion of the remarkable role played by HM King Hamad for the sake of advancing the kingdom and the continuous role of the Reform Project in the modernisation and sustainable development march, he said, noting that thanks to the milestone royal accomplishments, Bahrain enjoys a prestigious regional and global position of which all citizens are proud.
