Shariah RFP Wins Award For Best Islamic Finance Qualification 2016

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Financial Planning Council's Shariah Registered Financial Planner (RFP) was named the Best Islamic Finance Qualification 2016 at the 6th Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) in Jakarta, Indonesia Thursday. GIFA is one of the most respectable market-led awards in Islamic banking and finance with the objective of highlighting best practices in Islamic banking and finance. Commenting on the award, council President Md Adnan Md Zain said the recognition would be the catalyst to further drive the council in its commitment to sharing knowledge in Islamic wealth management with local and international communities. "Our initiative in developing Shariah RFP is to play a part in making Malaysia an international marketplace for Islamic finance. "We believe that our initiative in developing Islamic financial planning will further solidify our position as the premier umbrella body representing financial planning professionals and financial services providers in Malaysia," he said. Shariah RFP is a practical professional programme for practitioners to equip themselves with takaful and Islamic financial planning principles and knowledge. Currently, the council has more than 10,000 members, 441 of whom are qualified Shariah RFP designees. -- BERNAMA
