Qatar's Foreign Minister To Visit Malaysia On Oct 5

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, will undertake an official visit to Malaysia from Oct 5 to 6. According to Malaysian Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra), this would be his inaugural visit to this country since his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar on Jan 27 2016. "During the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed is scheduled to meet his counterpart Anifah Aman and to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Mohd Najib Abdul Razak on Oct 6. "Anifah will also host an official luncheon in honour of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed and members of his delegation," it said in a statement. According to the statement, the visit would provide the opportunity for both ministers to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern. The visit is envisaged to strengthen and enhance further Malaysia-Qatar relations, the statement said. -- BERNAMA
