Premier: 'Bahrain stands heart and soul with Saudi Arabia'

Bangkok, Oct. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received here today the Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, on the sidelines of the Second Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, currently held here. HRH the Premier stressed that Bahrain stands heart and soul with Saudi Arabia, out of the common destiny and the depth of the long-standing fraternal relations between the two kingdoms. The Prime Minister lauded the "strategic" role played by Saudi Arabia in defending Arab issues and interests. He affirmed that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have no expansionist ambitions or want to interfere into the affairs of others, but only seek to safeguard themselves and their peoples from potential harms. HRH Premier voiced deep pride in the historical and leading role played by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to strengthen and develop the joint GCC action for the best interests of GCC peoples, and to serve Arab and Islamic causes. The Prime Minister also praised the role played by the Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, at various international gatherings, which, he said, reflects the effective GCC diplomacy.
