National Conference On Malay History, Archipelago Help Intellectual Development

TANJUNG MALIM (Perak, Malaysia), Oct 14 (Bernama) -- The National Conference on Malay History, Malay Archipelago organised by Malaysian public university, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) helps intellectual development among the Malay community especially knowledge seekers, researchers and university students. UPSI vice-chancellor Dr Zakaria Kasa said the conference would elevate the history of the Malay race and civilisation globally and promote research among academics. "It is an important platform in the knowledge culture process as it could spur presenters to continue research in their respective areas," he said at the closing ceremony of the National Conference on Malay History, Malay Archipelago 2016 here Thursday. A total of 62 presenters from various local and foreign institutions of higher learning took part in the two-day conference which was held at UPSI here. --BERNAMA
