PM Najib's Paying Of Last Respects To Late Thai King Signifies Malaysia-Thailand Good Relations - Envoy

BANGKOK, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- The visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak to Bangkok Friday night to pay his last respects to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej signifies the excellent bilateral relations enjoyed by the two neighbouring countries, it was stated here Friday.
Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand Nazirah Hussain said Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok had always maintained close relations in many fields.
Nazirah said Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor were scheduled to lay a wreath at the Dusit Maha Prasad Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
Najib will sign a condolence book at the Main Hall of the Bureau of the Royal Household.
Najib and Rosmah will depart for home Saturday evening.
King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the world's longest reigning monarch, died at the Siriraj Hospital on Oct 13 after suffering from ill health for years. He was 89.
The widely-revered king reigned for seven decades.
