Boosting Bahraini-Indian relations emphasized

Manama, Oct. 23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at Al-Safriya Palace received India’s Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Rajnath Singh, and praised the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India highlighted by mutual respect, cooperation and coordination in various fields. The Indian Minister conveyed to HM the King greetings of India's President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people wishes of further progress and prosperity. HM the King welcomed the Indian Minister in Bahrain and asked him to convey his regards to India's President and Prime Minister and to the friendly people of Indian more advancement and wellbeing. HM the King welcomed the good outcomes of the first meeting of the Bahraini-Indian security committee held in Bahrain, which will contribute to boosting bilateral relations, security cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two sides. HM the King underlined Bahrain's keenness to develop its relations with India, looking forward to enhancing them in political, economic, trade, investment, security and cultural areas in the interest of the two countries. HM the King commended the role of the Indian community and their contributions to the progress, development and construction march witnessed by various field in Bahrain. Regional and international developments were discussed, as well as topics of joint interest. HM the King pointed out India's efforts to maintain international security, stability and peace. The Indian Minister lauded HM the King's role in the development of the bilateral relations and caring for the Indian community, stressing his country's aspiration to further bolster friendship and cooperation relations in the interest of the two countries and their peoples.
