King hails GCC-UK strategic relations

London, Oct. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received at his residence in London the GCC Ambassadors to the UK, on the sidelines of his official visit to Britain. HM the King welcomed the ambassadors and reviewed with them the GCC march, hailing landmark strides over the past years. He lauded the GCC joint achievements which, he said, represent a source of pride, stressing the importance of building on them in the future. “The GCC states have succeeded, thanks to Allah Almighty and to their leaders’ wisdom and farsightedness, in preserving and optimizing achievements”, he said. He commended the GCC peoples, hailing their vital contribution to their countries’ development and welfare thanks to their awareness, solidarity and investment in building their societies. HM the King underscored the importance of supporting and consolidating the strategic relations binding the GCC states and the United Kingdom in all fields, hailing the ambassadors’ crucial role and dedicated efforts to strengthen cooperation.
