HM the King congratulates Lebanese President

Manama, Oct. 31 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has sent a cable of congratulations to President Michel Aoun on his election as president of the Republic of Lebanon by the parliament of Lebanon. HM the King stressed the step would contribute to the establishment of peace, protection of the states' institutions from the exterior interference that may negatively affects the march of progress and stability and overcoming the critical current stage and challenges. He pointed out the keenness of the Lebanese political forces to promote the national interest. HM the King emphasized Bahrain's stance to support Lebanon's security and stability, looking forward to further boosting the fraternal bilateral relations in the interest of the two countries and their people. HM the King wished the Lebanese President success in moving his country toward a more stabile and prosperous stage, and the people of Lebanon further progress and well-being.
