Kahramaa to Host GCC Power 2016 Conference and Exhibition

Doha, November 06 (QNA) - Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) will host on Tuesday the GCC Power 2016, which takes place under the theme 'Toward Energy Efficiency.' The 12th conference and 21st exhibition, which are organized by GCC-CIGRE, a Gulf affiliate of the International Council on Large Electric Systems, will bring together policy makers, transmission and distribution industry professionals, technology leaders, delegate, exhibitors, and experts among others offering a good opportunity for utility industry professionals to discuss and share their views and experiences concerning relevant aspects of research, manufacturing and utility management. The conference will have a number of panel discussions, presentations, plenary sessions, tutorials and research- related activities among others. The opening session of the conference will be focused on energy efficiency in which participating leaders and decision makers will present the overviews including strategies being adopted by their countries in the arena of power conservation and shed light on the importance of renewable energy to increase the efficiency in context of their countries' scenarios. GCC-CIGRE was established under the umbrella of the GCC in 1985 to encourage and develop scientific researches and studies in the field of electricity systems. (QNA)
