Finnish surgeon's services commended

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary Abdulrahman Askar has commended Dr. Jussi Rantanen for offering his vast experience in the field of medical consultation and surgeries during his recent visit to Bahrain. The Finnish orthopedic surgeon spent a busy two days at the BOC’s National Sports Medicine Centre, where he had made appointments and conducted orthopedic surgeries for athletic and non-athletics patients. Askar paid a visit to Dr. Rantanen at the centre premises at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, where he looked into the services being provided at this high-tech facility and means to further develop sports medicine at the Bahrain Olympic Committee. The BOC general secretary also met National Sports Medicine Centre director Dr. Khalid Al-Sheikh and discussed relevant issues in addition to the recent steps made by the centre to boost its services to higher levels.
