Crown Prince praises longstanding Bahrain-UK relations

Manama, Nov. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, at Sakhir Air Base. The Royal visit takes place following an invitation by His Majesty King Hamad. The Crown Prince highlighted that Bahrain is proud of its longstanding relationship with the UK, noting that this year marks the 200th anniversary of bilateral relations. The Crown Prince also highlighted that throughout this time, both countries have witnessed significant bilateral development across economic, political, and cultural spheres. The Crown Prince emphasised that HRH The Prince of Wales’ and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall’s visit highlights how important the collaborative relationship is between Bahrain and the UK. The Crown Prince concluded by noting that Bahrain is delighted that HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall have chosen to return to the Kingdom and extended his best wishes for a successful visit. The sons of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Akhlifa, the Minister-in-attendace, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and other senior officials were also in attendance.
