Thai PM visits Pathum Thani province

PATHUM THANI, Nov 18 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-o-cha visited Pathum Thani province to follow up on the water situation there this morning. Gen Prayut travelled by helicopter to observe water management projects and listen to the problems related to water and rice cultivation from local farmers. He inspected the water level at Rapeepat canal and went to an oil palm plantation to observe the royally initiated “Kaem Ling” water retention project. He told villagers to build a network, so the government can provide them with assistance more easily. About 300 people welcomed the Prime Minister at the Bam Sam Aor Subdistrict Administrative Organisation (SAO) office in Nong Sua district, which is currently used as area to dry rice to meet with local villagers. Gen Prayut returned to Bangkok to chair the meeting of the National Rice Policy Commission at Government House at 2pm. (TNA)
