Korea To Promote Rural Tourism For International Tourists

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The Korean Tourism has begun promoting the Korean-style Rural Tour for international tourists. In a statement Tuesday, the Korea Rural Community Corporation said currently, international tourists had become more drawn to this tour which comprised exciting activities featuring stunning landscape. "There are over 873 Green Tourism Villages in Korea, and visitors can take part in a number of exciting activities with themes of tradition, nature and agriculture," it said. The Korean Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Ministry (MAFRA) and the corporation have been pushing ahead with the promotion to invite tourists to experience the rural tour. MAFRA has also selected 40 specialised rural-tour destinations among the 873 villages for the tourist to enjoy the experience of living the Korea tradition. "The special tour programmes will bring you a new sensation and inspiration. Therefore, it is worthwhile to try the special tours," said the corporation.
