Georgia a suitable place for investment of Iranian businessmen

Shiraz, Nov 27, IRNA – Georgian consul in Tehran Ruben Morgoshia said on Sunday that Georgia is a suitable place for investment by Iranian businessmen. Morgoshia made the remark in a meeting with the Head of Chamber of Commerce in Shiraz Mohammad Sadeq Hamidian. Some 21 old hotels are now ceded to the private sector for reconstruction which is a suitable opportunity for Iranian investors, he said. Ground for investors in the country is well prepared as two institutes with dlrs. six billion capital to back those sharing in the projects until the final stage, he said. Investment for the construction of hotels are tax-free for ten years, he said. Any foreign nationals who registers a company in Georgia will be regarded as the owner of the agricultural land, he/she purchase, he said. There are about 15 direct flights between Tehran to Georgia per week and some 80 percent of the Iranian passengers use air route, he said. Hamidian, for his part, said he hopes exchange of visits between the two sides economic delegations. The Economic situation in Iran is very lucrative, he said and called for expansion of cooperation between the two sides businessmen. 1378/IRNA
