King voices pride in Bahrain's independent judiciary

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed unwavering keenness on consolidating the independence of the judiciary, supporting the Judicial Branch and providing qualified judicial competencies, in line with his belief in the crucial role played by the judiciary in preserving rights and strengthening the pillars of social security and stability. Bahrain's independent judiciary is a monument of justice and human rights in the kingdom, and has to be respected, and confidence in its fairness and role in achieving justice for all should be strong, HM the King said, affirming that the consolidation of the principles of justice and equality are the cornerstones of the modern state in Bahrain. HM King Hamad made the statements while receiving at the Al-Safriya Palace today the Acting President of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and President of the Court of Cassation, Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, and SJC members, who greeted HM the King marking the issuance of a Royal Order forming the SJC. Acting SJC President submitted to HM the King the annual judicial report for the year 2015. HM King Hamad lauded the dedicated efforts of SJC's Acting president and members, and their devotion while assuming the responsibility of serving the nation and the citizens. HM the King praised the annual report and its content, including the achievements, data and future plans aimed at developing the judicial system, improving the efficiency of judicial work to consolidate the principles of the right, justice and rule of the law. HM the King voiced pride in Bahraini judges, and in the tremendous efforts they are making to assume their duties of achieving justice, securing the right of the citizens and defending their rights according to that law, stressing that the right and justice will remain the guiding approach of the Bahraini judiciary. HM King Hamad hailed the continuous progress witnessed by the judiciary in Bahrain regarding its infrastructure, legislation and competence of its judges, stressing that the kingdom boasts of a rich history in the judicial field. HM the King affirmed that Bahrain will always remain a land for all those living on it and seeking its good, without discrimination, praying to Allah Almighty to bless Bahrain with lasting security and progress.
