Shaikh Isa praises Bani Yas Circuit successes

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has lauded the successes of the Ban Yas Marina Circuit and its achievements, alongside the Bahrain International Circuit, in organising Formula One races. The special Gulf features of the races in Bani Yas and Bahrain have highlighted the distinguished status of the F1 competitions hosted in the Middle East, he added. Shaikh Isa who attended today the Bani Yas Formula One race congratulated the leaders and people of United Arab Emirates on the success of the last competition on the Grand Prix calendar this year. “Such a success is a source of pride for all of us and we do wish further achievements for this international sport in the Middle East where it is held under a Gulf identity and spirit,” Shaikh Isa said. “The successes confirm our aptitudes and capabilities to host international events.” The Formula One races held in Bahrain and in the UAE reflect the important aspects of the civilized openness of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and their great interest in promoting Gulf tourism through international events that bring benefits to all, Shaikh Isa said. Both countries have acquired great experience in organizing Grand Prix and other car races and increased awareness in the region about the significance of motor competitions, he added.
