MAB Kargo Expands Freighter Service To Bangkok

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd will launch a short-haul freighter service to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), Bangkok starting Sunday. The new route, which expands MAB Kargo's presence in Thailand, is to tap the rising cargo movements between the BKK and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the air cargo carrier said in a statement. The once-a-week service to Bangkok using Airbus 330 freighter starts in Kuala Lumpur with a stop en route to Bangkok via Hanoi, before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. The new route will facilitate growing trade between Malaysia and Thailand, MAB Kargo said, adding that the BKK was a rising cargo hub for major carriers. With the BKK added to its flight network, MAB Kargo has expanded its reach to 22 destinations around the world, thus strengthening its presence in the Southeast Asian market, as well as capitalising on air freight growth in Thailand. -- BERNAMA
