Premier lauds cooperation between executive, legislative branches

Manama, Dec. 5 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed that Bahrain is set to host major GCC, regional and international events which represent an added value to economic, political and security cooperation to come up with visions serving regional stability and growth. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of former Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani. HRH the Prime Minister pointed out that Bahrain's hosting of a number of security and development meetings is the result of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to harness international efforts to boost coordination aimed at promoting growth and fostering regional security and stability. He praised strong relation between the executive and legislative branches which is based on patriotism, common responsibility and public trust. HRH the Prime Minister lauded harmony and cooperation between the two branches which has become a characteristic feature of parliamentary work and a source of pride and appreciation. He underlined keenness of the government to further bolster cooperation with the legislative branch so as to fast-track development at all levels. He also commended the efforts of the legislators to achieve citizens' aspirations and cater for their needs, noting that all have a common national responsibility which is Bahrain's prosperity and growth. HRH the Premier reviewed with the audience regional and international issues, stressing that conspiracies have torn the Arab nation and displaced people in some countries who chose to flee conflicts and wars. This, he added, is regrettably saddening and requires a firm international stance. The Representatives Council Speaker lauded HRH the Premier's keenness to bolster cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, describing him as an inspirational model of patriotism and dedication.
