Manama Summit to boost security, stability, prosperity

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has praised the GCC consensus on the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to boost the joint Gulf action in all the economic, political, social, military and security fields and to coordinate in the fight against extremism and terrorism and in dealing with regional and international dossiers topped by the Palestinian issue and boosting the Arab countries security and stability and tackling Iranian interferences in their internal affairs. The minister told the London-based 'Al Sharq Al Awsat' newspaper that the GCC Summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain focuses on boosting the joint Gulf action in all political, defence, security, economic and social fields, consolidating the Gulf citizenship, activation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's vision in this respect after its approval by the GCC leaders, and the formation of a joint body to activate the cooperation in the economic and developmental dossiers to achieve more integration and unity. The 37th GCC Summit constitutes an extra building block in the solid, cohesive structure of the GCC organization on the road to ultimate Gulf Union based on the fraternal bonds, kinship and common history, goals and destiny and in view of the current security and economic challenges and vital solidarity to boost the security, stability, socio-economic prosperity and deter external interferences, said the minister.
