Bahrain, Saudi Arabia keen on boosting media cooperation

Manama, Dec. 8 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi hailed the official visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Bahrain, describing it as a push forward to historic fraternal relations between both countries. Al Romaihi was speaking as he received today his Saudi counterpart Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al Toraifi and his accompanying delegation. He said strong fraternal ties binding both countries represent a model of pan-Arab work and reflects keenness to bolster the Gulf Cooperation (GCC) forward-looking progress, achieve more growth and prosperity and bolster security and stability. Al Romaihi underlined the importance of the Bahraini-Saudi summit between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman which emphasised anew common keenness to further cement fraternal relations as well as political, economic, security and defence partnership. He praised success of the 37th GCC Summit in promoting the GCC joint work and activating the vision of King Salman in building a powerful and cohesive GCC economic bloc and boosting security and military cooperation. Al Romaihi reviewed with his Saudi counterpart ways of bolstering cooperation mainly in the media field in order to further solidify fraternal relations, promote the GCC citizenship, protect national and Arab security and highlight humanitarian values and fundamentals calling for tolerance and moderation and renouncing fanaticism, extremism and terrorism. Al Romaihir voiced Bahrain’s appreciation of the Saudi unwavering fraternal stances, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will always remain a source of power, dignity and support to the Arab and Islamic nation thanks to its decisive stances in boosting regional and international security and stability, fighting extremism and terrorism and providing humanitarian and development aid. The Saudi minister thanked Bahrain’s leaders and people for the gracious welcome, congratulating Bahrain on the success of the 37th GCC Summit and stressing keenness on further solidifying deep-rooted historic fraternal relations mainly in the media and cultural fields.
