Bahrain embassy in Belgium celebrates National Day

Brussels, Dec. 9 (BNA): Bahraini Ambassador to Belgium Dr. Bahia Jawad Al Jishi held a reception ceremony as part of festivities on Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 45th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 17th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa's Accession to the Throne. The ceremony was attended by a number of prominent public figures of the Belgian government, European Union, European Parliament and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO as well as members and officials of the Parliament and the Senate and members of the accredited Arab and foreign diplomatic corps in Brussels. It was also attended by business and academic figures, representatives of the media and a number of Belgian society figures who offered congratulations on this happy occasion, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership and government. During the ceremony, pictures from Bahrain's outstanding heritage were showcased and brochures and information on the achievements of the Kingdom in various economic fields as well as promotional material on available investment opportunities in the Kingdom were distributed.
