Crown Prince meets senior officials and delegates ahead of the 2016 Manama Dialogue;Highlights importance of uniting international efforts to bolster security, peace and development

Manama, Dec. 10(BNA): Ahead of the 2016 Manama Dialogue, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, Egypt's Foreign Minister, His Excellency Sameh Shoukry, Secretary-General of the Arab League, His Excellency Ahmad Abul-Gheit, Chairman of Kuwait’s National Security Apparatus, His Excellency Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and a number of senior participating officials and delegates.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of convening forums such as the Manama Dialogue, to provide platforms and opportunities to discuss important regional and international issues of interest, which contribute to securing a prosperous future for the region.
His Royal Highness welcomed the senior officials and delegates participating in the 12th Manama Dialogue, and praised their commitment to finding ways to enhance security and stability. In this regard, the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of uniting international efforts to further bolster security, peace and development. His Royal Highness also highlighted the importance of combating terrorism and extremism.
His Royal Highness and the participating senior officials and delegations went on to review the main challenges faced by the region, and the importance of strengthening security and protecting society from extremist ideologies.
In response, senior officials and delegations expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and praised Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international efforts to help achieve security, stability and peace.
A number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
