Bahrain-UK arrangements on naval support facilities signed

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom, Tobias Ellwood, signed today the arrangements between the governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in regards to the operation of the naval support facilities, within the framework of bolstering the historic and strong relations between the two countries. Shaikh Khalid affirmed that signing on the arrangements reflects achieving all that will lead to facilitating and developing cooperation, adding that it was an important step towards efforts to create new opportunities for the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom as well as for the benefit and interest of both countries. He said that the leaderships of both countries are keen to bolster cooperation in view of its positive impact on developing relations as well as bolstering security and peace in the region. Ellwood praised the keenness of the United Kingdom in the progress of the outstanding bilateral relations at all levels, adding that he looked forward for further cooperation between the two countries.
