HM King receives US Defence Secretary

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) today the US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter who is on a visit to Bahrain to take part in Manama Dialogue currently hosted by Bahrain. HM the King hailed strong and deep-rooted historic relations between Bahrain and the USA as well as growing cooperation between both countries mainly in the military and defence field. He said the Bahraini-American relations have been characterised throughout their long history by mutual respect and coordination to achieve the strategic interests of both countries and peoples. HM the King emphasised Bahrain's support to all efforts aimed at boosting regional security and stability, praising the role of the USA in maintaining regional and international peace.
