Crown Prince meets CIA former Director

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met General (Ret.) David Petraeus, the former Director of the United States' Central Intelligence Agency, on the sidelines of the 2016 Manama Dialogue. His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding bilateral ties between Bahrain and the United States, stressing the importance of further expanding cooperation between the two countries. His Royal Highness welcomed General Petraeus’ participation in the 12th Manama Dialogue, noting the significance of the region’s foremost security conference in providing a unique forum for leaders from across the world to gather and discuss approaches to regional challenges. Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
